She was in the hospital for about a week, and I lost my brand new Integra. Leave it stock, never modd these things. If you live anywhere but Texas. LEAVE THEM ALONE

You need to suck a LOT of water into the engine to hydrolock it. Most of the water you suck up is evaporated by the heat before it even gets close to the engine

Get a bypass valve...or not. It doesn't matter, you'll be okay

Don't buy a short ram, no matter what. Stock airbox is better than that.

If you're concerned with hydrolock, get the bypass valve for the AEM or the Comptech Icebox. Icebox is more $$$, but it had better throttle response.

Only reason to buy short ram is if you are a ricer and just want something loud.

A short ram intake is only really effective above a certain RPM point, where the engine is taking in so much air it doesn't matter that it's CRAZY hot.

When I had mine, it was great on a cold day and before the engine warmed up. Once that happened, I would lose throttle response & power until I was at like 5500-7100. Then I got a CAI and realized how much the short ram SUCKS!

I've had my AEM CAI for 4 years, with no problems....it's been through it and have not had problems. I just give it a little gas going through a puddle, and take it easy on the throttle after that.

That's what i've been doing and it's been good, for many years.
