A short ram intake is only really effective above a certain RPM point, where the engine is taking in so much air it doesn't matter that it's CRAZY hot.

When I had mine, it was great on a cold day and before the engine warmed up. Once that happened, I would lose throttle response & power until I was at like 5500-7100. Then I got a CAI and realized how much the short ram SUCKS!
