i have an AEM intake and i bought the bypass valve with it. i never put it on though. its beeen a while and i have gone through some deep as puddles. you just have to be carful. if you go through puddles put it in neutral so it doesnt suck as much. and your best bet would be to keep the stone cover on. that blocks the splashes even though the whole thing has to be submerged for it to get enough water to hydrolock. think of it like a straw. if the whole thing isnt submerged than your not gonna get any soda!

bypass valve or no bypass. i am having a hard time choosing... i don't want to lose any possible gain in horsepower, but i also don't want to hydrolock my engine... damn the choices. what do you guys suggest? one of the guys at the shop said he has had his in his car for 4 years and no bypass valve and has had no problems. :nervous:
i have the bypass and thankfull for it. i'm not gonna repost my previous views on it but if ur lowered more than 2" or so get the bypass if ur higher then its up in the air. the total hp difference is so small u wont miss it.
