i have an AEM intake and i bought the bypass valve with it. i never put it on though. its beeen a while and i have gone through some deep as puddles. you just have to be carful. if you go through puddles put it in neutral so it doesnt suck as much. and your best bet would be to keep the stone cover on. that blocks the splashes even though the whole thing has to be submerged for it to get enough water to hydrolock. think of it like a straw. if the whole thing isnt submerged than your not gonna get any soda!
