Your also not considering the weight of the vehicle, the engine used, NA or boosted, etc.

I am sick of people saying that 13s are slow especially when you consider that its all motor and in a 5th gen Accord sedan that is also daily driven and passes smog check (at least in Oregon).

Yeah 13s are slow actually so are 12s when you think about it but considering the limitations of the vehicle and the weight of the vehicle its not to shabby at all and for a 5th gen Accord sedan its a damn respectable time...I will hold my head up high if I can hit the mark this year.

so you have an Integra and an Accord race, and when the Integra wins are you gonna say "well my cars heavier than yours" weight doesnt mean shit when youre comparing times. youre also working with a 2.2 liter motor compared to the Integras 1.8 liter. so is a 13 second Accord faster than a 12 second Integra just because the Accord is heavier? Mustangs weigh more than Accords. thats why everyone thought it was awesome cause i made 222hp with my Accord. who cares? it still runs low 14's. is that 222hp better than 200hp out of a Civic? no because the Civic will beat the Accord in a race. so yeah your car is fast - when you race other Accords

*sigh*

222 hp in an integra and 222 hp in an accord are indeed different because of the weight difference.

so turbo an F22 and turbo a B18B. they both come with about the same horsepower. give 8lbs of boost to both cars. the B18B will make about 240whp while the F22 will make about 200whp while the Integra is lighter also. my point being - if you want a fast car dont buy an Accord. i had a turbo i know what i'm talkin about. a turbo on an Accord is just for the cool factor

13's is not fast in my opinion - am i not entitled to my own opinion? yeah you'll be fast for Accords but you'll still lose to most any other heavily modified car like it would take an Accord to run 13's. 2point6 runs like a 13.1 or something like that. everyone thinks thats fast as hell - which it is for an Accord. but race a GSR turbo hatch which probably would cost less for the whole entire motor and car as 2point6 has in just his motor

Why are you arguing this point with me?

Did I make any claims that my Accord or any other out there was going to be truly fast in the automotive world? I also said earlier if you read the posts that the turbo on an acord is more for cool factor...this was many posts up from this one in fact.

Fast for its weight and the general restrictions and limitations of the car maybe but not in an overall generalization spanning all cars models and makes.....geez I quit in this thread because its getting stupid and very vague.

Peace

Oh and which F22 are you reffering to because they are quite a bit different in output overall.

the LS motor(B18B) has 140hp stock while the F22 VTEC has 145hp stock i believe. not sure of the exact engine code. i consider those similar numbers

whats it matter if its fast for its weight? do you only race people when their car weighs the same?
