Well, going from stock to Silverstars they are a big difference. I'm sure if I were sitting behind HID's all the time they would suck, but ignorance is bliss. Maybe if I decide to spend the cash on something like that I would be greatly impressed but for me these are great. Oh and I got mine for $30 with the $10 rebate. Those Hypers never appealed to me they suck up a lot of wattage. Have fun with your 7000K HID's I'm sure they'll be slammin'

not to mention i had to get new connectors for them because i had my stock ones cut off since they were melted by the bulbs.

hehe anyway, glad you're happy though. that's what really matters in the end anyway.

beside the terrible color (in my opinion), i have to admitthey're sharper and a bit brighter than my previous blue bulbs. but DEFINITELY NOT worth $40 (after $10 car show rebate) for a pair when i can get hipers for $15, which shows more difference than silverstars.
I know where your coming from. When I swapped out my dad's Optiblue for the Silverstar I was like :wtf: this looks yellowish. I had to check again just to make sure it was Silverstars that I put in and not stock.

But trust me when I say the Silverstar light is pure white and the only reason why they look yellowish is because your so use to the hyperwhite/bluish white. Just suck it up for a bit and once your eyes adjust to the Silverstar light you'll notice its whiter then stock, but not bluish like the hyperwhites that your use to.

It takes time getting use to it. The whole reason why you get Silverstar is the light output. Its whiter then stock, but brighter then hyperwhites and cheaper then HID. What is better then that? Nothing.

If you get 7000K HID granted the light output is 2800 lumens with light that blue not only will you risk getting pulled over, but the light output in rain granted it rarely rains will suck.

silver star's over piaa!!..

-- i got piaa and i love them but after reading an article where some ppls put PIAA, silver stars and OEM lights to the test.. PIAA where actually worse then OEM and SILVER STAR gave a better output then OEM and PIAA.. considering that piaa is expensive SILVERSTAR is not only keep but more efficent then PIAA. .

All I want to add is....

Silverstars are made for upgrade and use

Hyper anything and show are for show.

You lose light especially in rain with hyperwhites. 7k HID is a little waste of money, that is more of looks than performance why spend the money for looks.

Blue are 7500K
Purple is 9000K

And rumor has it that 12,000K HID is black light HID.

With anything over 7000K you'll have light that is equivalent to OEM even though its HID.

HID is for brightness not color. If color is all you want then save your money and get color halogen bulbs.
