Default PIAA vs. Silverstars

I've been reading a lot about lighting recently.
Wondering if anyone had any experiences with PIAA Xtreme White and Silverstar replacement bulbs. Reliability, brightness etc. Doesn't compare to HIDs but I'm sure it's a good improvement over stock.

What do you think?

I have PIAA Xtreme Whites and I love them, they blew away my factory headlights in terms of the extreme white color, and my visibility and all that. I also have PIAA foglights which I think helped too. Just my $.02.

The silverstars are far from a ricer bulb, the light output is actually clean & clear. My stock bulbs, granted I've got an Integra, suck ass. I plan on getting them, does that make me a ricer?

All I know is the silverstars are bright azz white. Local Racer did the conversion on his car 9006-9005 and what a difference it made. It is super white, looked to me like his high beams were on.

if he did the conversion, he was using high beams in his lows.

PIAAs are around $75 each bulb

Sylvania SlverStars are $25 each

i hav SilverStars for low beams & PIAA Platinums for my High beams, & the PIAAs look yellow when both are on. the PIAAs lasted 2yrs, so let's see how long the Sylvanias do, 6months & counting.
