The PIAA SuperWhites are a waste for your 9005's. I have the 9006 PIAA Platinum Superwhites, and they're far from ricey. They just very white, none of that blue tint crap that is "rice."

I paid $70.00 for them.

For the price... I would definitely go with the SilverStars... I put them in my friends car and they were a HUGE improvement over stock. I would bet that the PIAA's would be a little better. But a friend of mine has some PIAA's and my $25/pair Showoff's off of eBay kick their ass! If you want a name brand then get the SilverStars, but if you want really really white, bright, and illegal for that matter... get something off eBay. Just my two cents.

Silverstars are brighter and cheaper (price wise) then PIAAs.

For the price of one pair of PIAA you can get two pairs of Silverstars.

PIAA Xtreme Whites are $70 delivered from Optauto.com. I can get Silverstars for $44 plus $10 off with coupon from local Autozone. But if they only last for a couple of months as my Cool Blue did I would rather spend the xtra money for PIAA's.

I just put Silverstars in mine last weekend. The Silverstars are the best in my opinion. I have had Silverstars in my other vehicle almost a year and never had a problem. The one thing I have noticed about the Silverstar bulbs is they give off very similar lighting quality as real HID. Not to mention they make street signs pop out from a far distance and dont get drowned out when you are in rainy conditions. Get the Silverstars and you will be happy. Just my.02

Hey has anyone noticed the people from warm weather climates (the one's who have their location listed) prefer Silverstars and cold weather climate people own PIAA's. Maybe it's a weather things. Maybe Sylvanias don't like the extreme cold. Hey AcuraFanatic and Eclipse Spanker, been cold lately hasn't it? 1 degree here tonight.

I may buy Silverstars and give Sylvania one more chance. Only because I recently spent a bundle on new sways, shocks and springs. But I do prefer PIAAs because they aren't afraid to give a warranty with their bulbs. I called Sylvania and they say they don't have a written warranty, but if there was a problem to call them and they can look into it. I don't like that but if I have any problems I'll be rid of Sylvania forever and go PIAA all the way without looking back. If I get driving lights in the future they will definitely be PIAAs.

Anyone know if 1000 lumens = 110 watts output?
