Since we are on the subject i am wondering what can they change in the current 200hp 2.4L TSX if they did make the Type S?? My dealership said if they increased horse power for a type S on the same engine the car wouldnt last very long.. but would like to know what you think of this?

Acura is releasing one new model every 6 months. TSX in spring, TL in fall, TSX-S next spring, RL next fall. Or vice versa for the last two. That would make sense.

Yes. As soon as this fall, as late as next fall. I can't tell you what it will have, but I can tell you that it won't have a V8 and/or RWD.

I assume when Acura redesigns it, it will have a slighter larger more powerful V6 engine than the TL and be FWD will be go after the E class/5 series/ A6/Lexus GS for its competition. Honda/Acura does not seem to want to jump into the high-end luxury class with the likes of the LS/Q45 and such. This would require a huge investment for a V8 and RWD while the fuel economy and profit margins do not justify this. This is probably why they only reskinned the Legend and changed the name to RL back in 95 and have not done much with it since. Plus, I think Acura is not sure what they really want to do with the RL. The American market wants something that world-wide market probably can't justify with higher fuel costs, size, weight and emissions restrictions and therefore no V8 or RWD. Just my $.02. THX!
