Problems Starting in Cold
Is this a particular problem with F22/F23 Accords? It's been cold here recently, 10º on the particular night that I speak of. I parked the car outside over night, went to start it the next morning.
The car turned over five times or so, with the interior light going pretty damn dim. I know a cold battery makes for a difficult start, for the chemical reaction of sulfuric acid splitting the water slows down.
Both my TL and Accord have the same battery. The charge on the battery on the Accord is full (Honda checked just earlier today at the 30K service). The TL usually starts right up in the cold.
Another thing: Immediately after startup, a prominent whine was heard for about five seconds or so, and then it faded away. Noisy fuel pump? Not sure.
Just wondering if this is common, or if something is wrong.

I'm having the same problem...its been in the 10s and even lower at night here in Michigan...my car is always parked outside and it also cranks a little before it starts...the battery is only a year old too.
Other possible cold weather related stuff...
When I first use one of my blinkers after not driving for a while, the clicky noise goes fast at first (like its warning you that a bulb is out), but then goes back to its normal speed...I'm guessing the bulb took a second to get going and thats what caused it...?
A couple of times, my parking brake light has not gone out when I put it down...I was guessing that it may be because the brake fluid is cold cause the light eventually goes out after driving for a bit.
Both of these problems occur when its a cold start....if I drive for a little bit, stop (go into a store or something), and come back when the car is still warm, I have no problems....but when I first drive in the morning, I get them...

I had the same problems with starting my car in cold weather. But that I got a tune up done. I got like everything BOSHE. To tell u honestly I dont have a problem with starting my car anymore. It starts easy now with no problems at all.

It is most likely a problem with the fuel injection. On the Accords the fuel injection is kinda weird... which also explains why the 5th gen's take a few turns to start up when they are really low on gas.
