Default Problems Starting in Cold

Is this a particular problem with F22/F23 Accords? It's been cold here recently, 10º on the particular night that I speak of. I parked the car outside over night, went to start it the next morning.

The car turned over five times or so, with the interior light going pretty damn dim. I know a cold battery makes for a difficult start, for the chemical reaction of sulfuric acid splitting the water slows down.

Both my TL and Accord have the same battery. The charge on the battery on the Accord is full (Honda checked just earlier today at the 30K service). The TL usually starts right up in the cold.

Another thing: Immediately after startup, a prominent whine was heard for about five seconds or so, and then it faded away. Noisy fuel pump? Not sure.

Just wondering if this is common, or if something is wrong.
