P0141 code in 03 Accord LX 4cylnder
the other thing that concerns me is getting the old one or new one through the grommet that it passes through to get into the unibody.
what a retarded design.
OK, so the seat does NOT have to come out. slide it all the way forward, and its easy to get to.
now, as for measuring resistance...
I got to the connector, set my multimeter to measure ohms, and I dont get any reading between the two black wires at all... its as if its an open circuit, or not connected at all...

Open circuit between the 2 black wires indicates a bad preheater in the sensor. You need a new sensor.
If you want to confirm that the car's wiring is OK...
Check the wiring harness that plugs into that sensor. When the car's running, the car should provide battery voltage across the 2 terminals that correspond to the 2 black sensor wires.

thanks for all your help Jim
Its appreaciated.
I will confirm voltage across those terminals this evening, and order the part.
Napa carries the Denso OEM replacement part for $69 BTW.
I havent bothered calling the stealership, but after paying them $500 to replace a windshield wiper motor, im not even going to bother them with a call...

I drove about an hour and back to a NAPA that had the 'OEM' part in stock (rather than waiting a week to have it delivered to my local NAPA).
I got there expecting a DENSO O2 sensor, but instead the guy hands me a BOSCH box.
Id read here or elsewhere that the BOSCH ones are known to return codes... otherwise Id have gotten the BOSCH one from the autozone a mile from my house.
Anyways, I open the BOSCH box, and see the sensor itself has a DENSO stamp on it, and the same part number as the OEM one I'd pulled.
plugged it in, and it works like a charm...
anyways, my point is, the BOSCH 'OEM' O2 sensor IS the OEM 02 sensor...
had I known that earlier, Id have saved $5 on the part, and 2 hours of my life, and half a tank of gas in my Wrangler... oh well, live and learn...

I saw exactly the same thing a few years ago for my '95 Integra. Denso part in a Bosch box. They must have some kind of agreement going. I should buy a Denso sensor for my Saab, maybe it'll be a Bosch. I would have expected them to be competitors...
