Why does everyone say drain 3 quarts fill 3 quarts? my car is only 2.5

I'm guessing you've never done an oil change.
Look under your car, and follow the wheel axels to where they both connect, that will be your transmission. Find a plug on that.

The drain plug is on the passenger side, near the front tire (for 4cyl AT models). You don't need a socket, you actually insert the 3/8" rachet head into the drain bolt. Ideally you'll need a new crush washer and torque to 36lb-ft.

Don't flush, just drain and fill like said above.

3 quarts of Transmission Fluid.
"the trans pan is directly under the tranny"
"also the trans pan will be flat"
Hondas Do NOT have transmission Pans they have automatic transaxle casings
It is a Gold PLug on the SIDE of the Transmission.near the Bottom
3/8 standard ratchet drivers side near the sub assembly, DO not overtighten the drain plug....! 3 quarts of Transmission Fluid.
Due yourself a favor and buy honda or acura trans fluid, the 98-02's get squirly up past 45k on things such as fluids , Trannys, alternators.

Change Engine Oil & Filter - correct
Flush Tranny Fluid - Honda Recommends Flushing Only when installing trans
Drain and Fill

Replace Fuel Filter - Completely Uneeded
Replace Air Filter - correct

Replace Spark Plugs - NEGATIVE 01 V6 has platinum plugs replace at 105k

Replace Distributor cap, rotor and inspect wires - 90kmiles

set ignition timing and adjust cambelt - DO NOT MESS WITH THESE, T-belt package at 105k miles address those items at that time.

Inspect crankcase emissions - DO what ? Inspect how by Snorting out of a breather fitting?

Inspect front & rear pads, rotors and calipers - As needed

Replace brake fluid, check hoses & lines - Negatory Supposed to be at 45k but they don't usually need it. Check For Leaking fluid and you should be ok.

adjust parking brake - Don't bother..

replace clutch fluid, clutch operation, adjust freeplay - N/A

adjust all belts & inspect power steering fluid - Correct, Belts I can almost Guarantee are fine until t-belt time.

inspect suspension mounting bolts for tightness - Not Needed And NExt to impossible without a lift.

inspect exhaust system - If it is not noisy your Fine

inspect tire wear and set tire pressure - correct, more than 2/32 and 32psiAVG.
Flush engine coolant & check hoses belts - 45k item, MAke sure you fill while the car is running, or overfill the coolant bottle

inspect battery and clean terminals - As needed

adjust alternator belt - Again?

INSPECT VALVE CLEARANCE ? - NEGATIVE. 105KMILES DON't MESS WITH

wiper blades and windshield washer fluid

lube door, hood latches and hinges

rotate tire and balance - balancing requires machine rotate Cross the fronts back pull the rears straight forward

"remember there is no replaceable filter it is a permanent screen this screen can clog and you will buy a new tranny"

NEGATIVE Depending on where it was manufactured 1HK, 2HK, HMC.. There may or may not be an inline filter. You will not be able to purchase one though. Also MANY MANY THOUSANDS of the V6 accords have had there trannys replaced in dealerships before the factory warranty or honda care ran out do to the fact that 3/4 of the them had shit transmissions some of tose Honda Remans Came with the Filter Kit. Other than that Nope.

Oh And that is a "DEALERSHIPS SERVICE REC SHEET" Honda does not produce a "UNIVERSAL" sheet. That list is a mixture of all sorts of services from 45kup.

And it did not include A/C Cabin filters.. MOST DEFINATELY THOUGH! Do not change Fuel filter, plugs, wires or any of that other crap until they give you a reason to. because you will wind up with check engine MIL codes out the ass.

Oil Change, Trans Fluid, Air Filter, Tate your Tires, Top off Washer Fluid, You Could Try and do the a/c cabin filters (but they are kind of a pain for those who have never done them). Wash your car and You should be good.
Bleed BRakes at 90k.
105k - MAJOR, Not for the weak at heart

Oh and I know these things because I am a Honda "Factory Certified Service Technician"

Oh and I am not Baggin On you PowerPlate just telling him what the dealerships does/would do. Ohh and if you get 2 wheels up on a curb it will be easier to loosen that drain plug. WIPE THE METAL SHAVINGS AND BLACK GUNK OFF OF THE MAGNETIC PICK UP IN THE drain PLUG. GET as much off as possible.

jscHmid - Nice &*#$ing accord. I rarely see them get taken care of, Clean very Clean Inside and Out! vbmenu_register("postmenu_2523239", true);
