Is it a factory CD player, or after market one? Is it with ANY burned CD's. Did you burn the music files as MP3's or what format(MP3's wont work you have to convert them to another format). My 96 EX factory CD player will play burned ones just fine. Are you using CD-RW's? Will the burned CD's play in other CD players, or just in the orgin burner (be sure you select "close session" when burning a music CD)

It is the factory CD player. I burned mp3s onto CDRs as audio CDs. Those CDRs can be played everywhere else, including the CD player of my friend's 97 accord.

hhmmm. No clue, although i've heard of this happening in other players, not Necacarily Honda specific, or to your model.

make sure you're not using a CD-RW
burn at the slowest speed possible (4X tops)
find a cd-r with a dark ink'ed bottom.

This is a VERY typical problem with sixth generation stock Accord decks.....I have the EXACT same problem, where after I am finished recording a CD-R on my Marantz home CD recorder, my Accord's CD player will have a VERY hard time reading CERTAIN BRANDS of discs I use, mainly the MAXELL CD-R MUSIC PRO discs; all the others seem to be okay. But this IS a common issue with these CD players; with these Maxell MUSIC PRO CD-Rs, the laser of my player can sometimes take FIVE MINUTES to read the disc and start playing, but it eventually does.

But, CD-RW discs WILL NOT play at all in these sixth generation Accord CD players.
