I bet your car can out handle most of the cars on the road. One of my favorite things to do is taking a wide off ramp at 80 and comming up fast on another car, it always freaks them out. of course I brake at a distance that is safe.

edit* I forgot to ask, what type of tires are you running. that could make a world of difference. This summer I got a set of AVS ES100s and my grip is amazing now as compared to the crappy Nankangs I had.
Yeah, I was going to ask him what tires he had...and S2000 is a pretty high mark for a handling comparison!

Schmiddy is right if you want to get the car to handle better cheaply....
Buy a set of really nice tires, sticky is good but if money is an issue get a Z or V rated tire with a high tread wear number. You may want to go up a bit on the width too. Just work the numbers so the aspect ratio is the same.
www.tirerack.com Do what's called a plus 0 size.
Example: if stock is a 195/65/15 go plus 0 and get a 215/60/15 tire more width same height.

No if you want to AutoX my next mod would be a camber kit, this way your tire shop can set the camber a bit more aggressively for you.

Then after this I would look to upgrade more....but do the tires first...if the car is used you likely need them anyhow.

as for shock/spring combos, some of the best combos are the Eibach pro-kit, Neuspeed, H&R for springs. for shocks Koni yellows are the best you can get.
imo all those coilovers come with weak spring rates for autox...the apexi has nice springrates for the front but the rear is too weak and will cause understeer if your car isn't setup properly (allignment, rims, tires, swaybar)

best bet: ground control with custom rates and koni yellows...or you can get omni coilovers..i have 10kg front and 12kg rear rates and they work great for me...it's not as good as koni yellows but a helluva alot cheaper =)

but imo i think you should just go out and run the car stock since you just bought it..see how it handles and where it needs improvement..a good car with a bad driver is worthless

i dont know if i wasted my money to be honest. my mods list includes koni yellow w/ eibach pro-kit, suspension techniques front & rear sway bars, neuspeed front strut bar, dc sports rear strut bar, and 17 inch enkei rims with 225 45 17 nitto 450 tires. i have to take this mountain to get to pennstate and i tried *testing* out the combo and i was kinda disapointed. dont get me wrong, its an improvement, but not to what i had hoped for. i guess stock s2000 and rsx can handle just as good as me.. and i thought all these parts can make me better than them. after all... my car was based on a suspension design from over 10 years ago... its a 94 honda accord ex coupe.
how does the car feel? understeer alot? i had nitto 450's once and they sucked...

i really would like to see someone like a pro test drive my car to see at what point the car would flip, i already done 360 on the 59bridge upper. mmm my tein are set at 18 in front 18 in the back i think i can set them higher mmm stiff, nothing weak about that but i only use this setting when i go to the joint. plus lifetime warranty and i can set any height i like too. 16" wheels are nice.

Your car wont flip around a corner, It will most likely understeer into a corner or spin out like you said but not flip unless you hit something. If you had a truck then that would be a different story.

I think im gonna go with the A'pexi WS system.......

WORLD SPORT DAMPER SYSTEM

Affordable coil-over shocks for street

Smooth ride characteristic, adjustable height

In line with the concept pursued by the World Sport Muffler line, World Sport Damper Systems reflect A'PEX's interpretation of how a car's suspension should have felt and responded right from the factory. When developing suspension systems, car manufacturers generally tend to lean toward softer ride and cost-savings while sacrificing performance and safety. A'PEX responded by developing World Sport Damper Systems - an affordable line of coil-over suspension systems which enhance driver feedback and response, with good overall ride quality. We selected a monotube gas shock design and valved it specifically for the daily commuter who loves to drive. The adjustable perch allows ride height to be adjusted quickly with a spanner wrench. World Sport Damper Systems use the highest quality materials and are manufactured in-house at our Fuji, Japan factory to tightly monitor quality control and ensure years of reliable service. -A'pexi-usa

shock settings are not spring rates..they are two separate things..and yes the teins come with weak spring rates..they will be fine for the street (dunno why you'd spend $800 for a street setup) but not autox and especially track events

unless you had ungodly sticky tires (slicks for example) and a high ride height your car will not flip sorry...and that'll take alotta work to accomplish

I think im gonna go with the A'pexi WS system.......
goodluck...i saw a set going for like $450 on ebay or something

cool as long my car wont flip over i am happy, everything else is about the driver. i got my tein ss just to lower the car up and down when it needs to, depend on the weather and i wanted a confortable heigh and u know our cars look good drop. i do recommend anything stiffer than mine for autox. tein ss is made for street not autox. A'pexi WS system are nice.
at the time i payed $850 for my tein "ss", A'pexi WS system are more expensive. shocks and springs are cheaper but i wouldnt be able to change heigh or adjust how stiff or confortable my ride feels plus some shocks dont offer lifetime warranty because if u drop the car too low eventually the shocks will get damage. streets here sucks plus we get lots of snow this yr we been lucky.we make top10 worst roads n the country. Where on ebay u see Tein SS for $400? brand new??????
