as for shock/spring combos, some of the best combos are the Eibach pro-kit, Neuspeed, H&R for springs. for shocks Koni yellows are the best you can get.
imo all those coilovers come with weak spring rates for autox...the apexi has nice springrates for the front but the rear is too weak and will cause understeer if your car isn't setup properly (allignment, rims, tires, swaybar)
best bet: ground control with custom rates and koni yellows...or you can get omni coilovers..i have 10kg front and 12kg rear rates and they work great for me...it's not as good as koni yellows but a helluva alot cheaper =)
but imo i think you should just go out and run the car stock since you just bought it..see how it handles and where it needs improvement..a good car with a bad driver is worthless
i dont know if i wasted my money to be honest. my mods list includes koni yellow w/ eibach pro-kit, suspension techniques front & rear sway bars, neuspeed front strut bar, dc sports rear strut bar, and 17 inch enkei rims with 225 45 17 nitto 450 tires. i have to take this mountain to get to pennstate and i tried *testing* out the combo and i was kinda disapointed. dont get me wrong, its an improvement, but not to what i had hoped for. i guess stock s2000 and rsx can handle just as good as me.. and i thought all these parts can make me better than them. after all... my car was based on a suspension design from over 10 years ago... its a 94 honda accord ex coupe.
how does the car feel? understeer alot? i had nitto 450's once and they sucked...
