Default Legend calipers transplant

ok after some serious thought, I don't think I want the Brembo big brake kit anymore. A setup that I've seriously considered is doing a Legend caliper transplant. Does anyone know what parts are needed to do this transplant? Also is it even possible? I've heard that they need a 11.2" rotor and what not. If anyone knows what parts I need please let me know.

the v6 rotor will fit on a I4 6th gen? I only have 4 lug. also will the caliper bolt right up to the stock mounting points for my current caliper?

i will be surprised the day this forum stops talking about "oh check out my new painted shift knob" hehe and actually follows some real tech! then my @ss will come down and help out cuz it does get boring with all the crap around here, but anyways enuff rambling lets get some real knowhow up in here..

you need these parts to do the conversion..

1- 94-97 Accord V6 Rotors (OEM, brembo, blanks or C/S) its up to you they are 11.2" and are 23mm wide.

2- Legend sedan 92-95 LS 2 piston calipers or GS Coupe 91-93 you basically need the entire caliper dont worry about the lines.

3- OEM AEM Nissin pads for the legend, type R or NSX (these pads work great for me, no noise and not much dust unlike the axxis metal masters i had previous which squeaked like crazy)

also you wont need a shim so dont stress that, and the calipers are made for 28mm wide rotors but they will compress and lock once your bleeding them. you stay 4 lug but with a 11" rotor since the v6 5th gen was 4lug.

any Q's post!

you would use the 4th gen Prelude Vtec rotor which is 11.2 and is 4lug and is also rotor over hub.. :fawk:

Would the caliper be positioned properly though? I've heard that some people have to swap sides and so the bleeding valve or whatever is upside down. Would the calipers bolt right up to my stock mounting points too?

since you have a 6th gen i would not be able to garantee that they will bolt right up. like i said if you have a setup where 11.2" rotors can fit on there then you most likely can, for example what size is the V6 5lug 6th gen rotor? if it ends up being 11.2 then that means honda wont change the entire braking system for that little size difference and the braket on the legend caliper will already entend the caliper far enuff to fit a 11.2 disc anyways.. thats really what you have to research. like for example i can do this conv because the V6 accord has all the same braking except that it uses a bigger disc which the only difference is a bigger bracket, thats the only diff, so if your V6 version is like that then you can prob do it too.

about the sides, its simple. left goes on right and right goes on left ..so the nipple is facing up.
