If anyone has any Info on to do these to make things a little easier to prepare for, I would be greatful.

If you don't already have one, a HELMS manual will be very helpful. www.helminc.com

That's not flushing. That's just draining & filling 2 or 3 times. And it's supposed to be better for your tranny, anyways...

Flushing is where 'they' hook up a 'machine' so it can pour fresh fluid in while draining old fluid out, WHILE it's running. Apparently Honda says that's not a good thing to do.

There is NO DIY filter in the Auto transmission you have and in most Hondas, maybe all of them. Just drain and refill the 3 qts like everyone suggested.

I personally changed mine every few il changes whil I already had the car jacked up. Its easier than the oil change. Just loosen the ATF bolt under the car, drain out the fluid, then put the new fluid back in via the Tranny fill bolt on top of the car, or through the dipstick tube depending on your car model, and engine.

Default UPDATE! AND SOME PROBLEMS! ......Help

Ok, as I said I was going to do, I got my Tranny "flushed" and replaced my CV's..... OK know the problem.....after we finished, we let it run in all gears for a few seconds, then let in run in park there were no leaks and the trans was full. So i start heading home (about 60 Miles from where we did this), and everything is fine. Well the next day I go to work (2Mi.) then home and out to Best Buy (3Mi). When I get there i notice a little Slip (I pressed the gas and it rev-ed then caught into gear "1st") I was like WTF?!?! so I check the fluid and ........Nothing ....Gone .....Notta.....$35 worth of HondaATF GONE!..... So, scared to drive I walk to the nearest store and buy some generic crap (Temp.) I check For leaks nothing, so I start for home again and I see that im burning some trans. fluid. which I did spill a little bit, so I check it again.........Nothing.....and no leaks.....so I put some more in and head home. I check in all gears to see if its leaking and I dont see anything. What is going on?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Also driving to work today my Speedometer goes out, Does any one know what could cause this? THANKS IN ADAVNCE!

hmmm..........how bad is it slipping? Stop and go, it does it all the time?
Well since you have a 99 accord v6, those cars are notorious for tranny problems.
Maybe its about that time.

35bucks for ATF Fluid?? Thats alot. I paid 14 bucks for 5 of them and from honda.
