Default 99EX to 02EXV6

I've recently moved from a 99 EX 4cyl up to a 02 EX V6 and I am starting to notice a difference in handling. I am not sure if it's because the v6 is about 220 pounds heavier than the 4 or if it's because the 99 has almost brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE950's and the 02 has it's original Michelin MXV4's with 47,000 miles on them, but with the 99 I can take corners faster and handle curvy, twisty back roads better and the car just just feels more glued to the ground, even in the rain. Could I expect to feel similar results with the Bridgestone tires on the 2002 or does the V6 just handle differently than the 4. Any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks

I like that pic with both cars.

I'd guess the tires are playing a large role. The stock issue tires leave quite a bit to be desired.

It may even be party due to the fact that you are more used to the I4 car and feel more confident pushing it.

Just put some sticky tires and performance springs, shocks, sways and you'll be golden.

DITCH the Michelins...they suck. Most likely its the tires. Tires can make a HUGE difference in handling.

STICKY TIRES > POS michelins

Default tires

I had 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE950's installed today and I noticed the difference after only five minutes of driving. The 02 handles almost exactly the same as the 99 which is awsome, now I just have to get used to being lighter on the throttle so I don't slide out of my seat when taking fast turns.

i was thinking the same thing. jumping from an i4 stick to a v6 auto is a huge change.

i bet better tires and a CL-S or TL-S swaybar would take care of any issues you had.

there's alot more weight (~200lbs) in the nose of the V6 than the I4....of course it will handle different.
