Default 99EX to 02EXV6

I've recently moved from a 99 EX 4cyl up to a 02 EX V6 and I am starting to notice a difference in handling. I am not sure if it's because the v6 is about 220 pounds heavier than the 4 or if it's because the 99 has almost brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE950's and the 02 has it's original Michelin MXV4's with 47,000 miles on them, but with the 99 I can take corners faster and handle curvy, twisty back roads better and the car just just feels more glued to the ground, even in the rain. Could I expect to feel similar results with the Bridgestone tires on the 2002 or does the V6 just handle differently than the 4. Any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks
