Alarm Assistance
Hi Everyone.
I have a 99 Accord LX 4Cyl Sedan.
When I purchased the car it had a factory keyless entry system, etc. I had Circuit City install a Viper 600HF system. I have subsequently broke my viper remotes. Because I can't seem to find replacement remotes anywhere, I've decided to have the alarm uninstalled and go back to factory keyless entry.
Two really quick questions:
1. Installing the Viper more than likely did nothing to the factory alarm/keyless entry, correct? It should all still function?
2. I've of course lost my original honda remotes. Can I just order new ones via ebay, or do I need to go to the dealer?
Thanks very much for your expertise!

epending on the setup, the factory keyless entry SHOULD still be intact. Hopefully it was not a butcher who installed the alarm.
Ans 2: If you get the remote from some place, the dealer may charge a hefty fee for programming it.
