So my alarm screwed up tonight.. Help please :(
I have a viper alarm on my car (was on it when i bought the car used) and tonight I opened the door with it armed, and it went off...
I used the remote (while sitting in the car) to shut it off and then tried to start it. The car wouldn't start. So I figured the alarm did the starter kill. I armed the alarm and rearmed it but the alarm didn't beep like it normally does when I arm/disarm it. And the little red light that flashes when it's armed was solid.
I tried starting it, still nothing. I got out, shut the doors, armed the alarm and opened the door, nothing. No dings, no beeps, no alarm. Set the panic and the alarm went off, no problem. Hit the disarm button, no beeps, it just stopped the siren. Try to start it again and finally it started.
Brought it home and it's still screwed up. The red light is solid when I arm it and doesn't go off when I disarm it. There are no beeps for arm/disarm and when I open the door with it armed there is no alarm.
Anyone know what's wrong with it? And what the hell do I do if it prevents the car from starting again?

Do u know the model number of the viper alarm? My dad has the viper 300 or something in the 3's to turnoff the alarm we open the door and press II then I and II then I again. When his light goes solid it means the alarm is disarmed.

hey now that i see this post maybe someone here can help, the dude that install my clifford/DEI whatever matrix RSIII didnt install the valet parking button and i read the manual and it doesnt say anything about other than its supposed to have a button lol so, is there anyway i can set my alarm n valet parking using the control or keys? btw i love the fuel pump and the started kill

I completely missed this post last night and looked at it today, that worked

You don't know how aggrivated I was with it. I'm so glad it was just my own stupidity versus something breaking. Now I'm not scared to install the remote start
