make sure you use some air pressure and clean out that hose, there could be buildup which will just stop the water again and again

Default Is there a hose?

All the diagram shows is a seal, which I assume is something like a pressure valve? I still can't see anything on the firewall that fits this image.

That picture has an arrow showing which direction is the front of the car. So it's like the firewall was invisible & you're standing at the left-front fender. That seal probably presses directly against the firewall. It'll be the lowest point of the air box, all the way forward under the glovebox. (Peel back the carpeting?) The seal isn't a valve, it's more like a rubber or foam washer. If that seal is leaking, you may have to remove the glovebox & loosen the entire air box from the firewall in order to replace the seal.

I don't know whether it actually has a hose in the engine compartment. I suppose the water could simply run out thru a hole & drip on the ground.

Default Thanks Jim.

I was really hoping this would be one of those simple fixes like blowing it out with a blast of air. I did a search on getting to the evaporator and it looks like it is not too difficult, but time consuming for a senior citizen diy'er. I also noticed that this system was changed in the '03 model.

We have owned 8 Hondas in the last 27 years, and this is probably the most aggravating problem we have had.

Thanks for all the responses.

Default Help, AC water leak inside car -> on driver side

Hi, AC water leak inside my car, on the driver side. It was repaired once by a mechanics and he said that some AC line was loose.

I have read this thread and I think all the tips provided here is for AC water leaking problem on the passenger side, in which the outlet of where the water is supposed to go stuck.

Would you please share information how to fix the problem of AC water leaking on the driver side?

Thanks in advance.

underneath the car theres a little plastic hose coming from the inside. every car with ac hac one. thats the drain. all you have to do is shoot some compressed air up there and water should start shooting out. thus unclogging the drain.
