Default 2k accord electrical/charging problem

OK....I just installed a brand new high performance 150 amp alternator, optima deep cycle battery on my 2k accord. I also upgrade all the power wire to 4 gauge. Everything has been fine for the past few days. Tonight on the way home from work,I noticed that when the rpm's fell below 1k the dash cluster lights(brake light, open door light, battery light, taillight out light) would begin to flicker for a few seconds before they would stay completely on. If I rev'd the motor up past 1k or turned on the lights or used a turn signal,it would stop. It doesn't do it at idle at all, only when driving and or coming to a stop. Its got to be the alternator...I'm just wondering if there is something that the computer is doing because of the extra amperage. Any thoughts??

First of all...the 150 amp alternator is probably the most useless thing I've ever heard of. Unless you have an ungodly amount of aftermarket stereo equipment or what not, that requires the extra juice, the alternator won't put out anymore amps than necessary. My thoughts are...your alternator has crapped out. Put the stock one back in, and don't worry about it.
