today, my car started fine. yesterday, it had troubles. a few times it would crank for awhile but not turnover. and a few times it would turn over but then die as the revs dropped. any ideas? i really don't wanna have any more problems or have to go to a freaking expensive mechanic

 

Sounds like it could be the distribitor if the car would shut off after it was already running . If that is the case, then sorry but that is a $300 job.

 

What year is your accord? I had a problem similar to that with mine. If it was too hot inside the car when i got in it to start it, the car would first start and then die, and then keep cranking with nothing happening. Turns out it was the PGM-FI relay under the dash. It is a common problem for fourth and fifth gen accords. If thats what it is, its and easy DIY fix and the part is only like 40 bucks or something.

 

i got a 4th gen...just recently replaced distributor this year...whas this diy fix brent...plz help me out, thanks
