Default B16a crx with weird problem! help!

Hey guys i have a 1990 CRX w/ a B16a in it and am having a weird problem. W ith the car sitting still at idle the motor runs great and revs up like normal but in first, second and third if you go hard on the throttle the motor surges real bad(like if you ever seen somebody trying to drive a stick for the first time). But if you are real light on the throttle it runs like normal. Now fourth and fifth gear dont do it at all no matter what. And at the same time this problem started the car also started to pull to the right when it WAS in perfect alignment. Have you guys ever heard of this????? The car ran great earlier that day and was running fine for the last month or two, this was just out of the blue. And i did just put ALL NEW OEM ignition in it about 2 weeks ago. I think it is starving for fuel or the computer is not working properly. Thanks for the help! You guys can e-mail me directly at CRXtreme20@hotmail.com or freakin call me collect at (817)229-2420 i dont care, i just want this fixed!

umm did u blow an axle and are only getting pull from one side? could be alot of things could be fuel related, fuel pump or soemthing of that nature, or could be a more serious tranny axle issue if its pulling hard all of a sudden for no apparent reason

this happened to my friends CRX and he has a B20 in it. the engine would buck at WOT. the got all the ignition redone, he spend a lot of money on it. it still did it and he was pissed.

he later found out that the fuel pump was getting cloged with pieces of rust in the gas tank(the car sat for 3years).
might wanna check your gas tank. might be time for a new gas tank

the reason why it might have been pulling to the right that day is with all the engine bucking it could have thrown you alignment out of wack.

could be a fuel pressure regulator problem if it has funky response, does it kick and jump forward and back or is it just hesitant?

last night i talked to a guy who had the same problem and so he replaced the plugs and it stopped for a hour then replaced the wires and it stopped for a day then replaced all the cap and rotor and it stopped for 3 hours then he replaced the coil and igniter and it stopped and hasent come back. so i think i am going to buy a new distibutor head and put all my new OEM ignition in it and see if it fixes it. i think the pulling to the right issue is just something else that happened because of the surging. for my fuel system i have stock pump into B&M fuel pressure regulator into a VENOM high flow fuel rail into JDM B16 injectors. i dont think it is fuel related anymore since 2 other B16 guys have had the same problem.

i talked to another guy who had the exact oppsite problem though. At low rpm and low throtle and would surge but at higher rpm and throtle it would smooth out. and he said his problem ended up being that his injectors were shutting off and then coming back on very rapidly. if this could be my problem how the hell do you fix something like that????????????

Could be a couple of things. Either you have a vaccum leak, or if your car is a dx, the tps wires need to be switched.

Default Go on ahead.........

All i know is this happened to my friends CRX, he spent all this money into changing what your about to change and the car continued to do the same thing. he even swaped out the ECU

he kept changing his fuel filter 2 per week to be exact (the one in the engine bay) and he kept getting odd orange depposits in the filter. lowered his gas tank and he found that the whole bottom of his tank was covered in rust.

he then upgraded his fuel filter while they replaced the tank
