Default S2000 Engine Swap!!!! Need Answers FAST!!

I just talked to a freind whose car got hit in a snowstorm it was totaled and he bought the car back from the insurance company. Well here's the deal.... he needs money really bad to pursue another project and he told me that I could buy everything to do the swap for a thousand bucks . Which is crazy but I don't want to give him enough time to change his mind. Can this be done? I know that it is a RWD car, could I swap any other FWD tranny or would I have to completely swap to RWD. Any help is highly appreciated.

you may be able to get the parts from him for a grand, but the cost of fabrication and retrofitting those parts into your accord is gonna be more expensive than it's worth IMO.

if u manage to do this than u WILL have the badest accord eva!!!!! I know its easy to swap parts if its the same series engine. What is the code on the s2000's motor.
It uses the F20C engine so in theory the F22/23 trannies should bolt up correct? That engine would tare the tranny to pieces and it would not use the powerband. U would have to get a tranny that is made for high rpms. Which there are none since the s2k is the highest revving car around.

should be F20c

pretty sure it's rotation is opposite of the accord engine though.. tha'll make the swap more difficult

Is there a way to beef up the stoch tranny, or possibly switch to the same gen V6 tranny

nope, you'd have to convert your accord to RWD since the S2k engine rotates the opposite direction from the accord engine.. you'd have to use the whole s2k drivetrain

Exactly. I thought about this a long time ago and was set straight. If you use your honda tranny imagine it being in reverse as going forward. Basically what you do is buy everything for a $1000 and resell that shit if the motor is in good condition. The fabrication alone will probably be enough for you to buy a S2000.
