radar detector - insurance

Yeah, but if they're already in looking for stereo stuff, sunglasses, your registration, your VIN # so they can get a key cut and come back later, spare change, etc - why not grab a $400 Valentine One???

Never leave it in the car is my advice. If you HAVE to leave it in the car, at least toss it into your spare tire well - about 1/2 the chance thieves will bother to look there compared to the glove box, or center console . . .

No doubt, people will steal anything. Hell, my friend had his car broken into for a case of Pepsi & that's no lie! I guess it does differs from insurance companies to another. My insurance said they'll cover just about anything as long as I have a receipt. Radar Detector specific, not sure since they're illegal in VA.

someone broke into my friends car just to get the lighter probably a cracker, imagine if i see a valentine n ur car knowing it goes over $400

if someone wants your VIN number, all they have to do is look thru the front windshield on the driver's side of the dash..

people have given some good advice. putting it with the spare tire is a great idea, just a bitch. but better than getting it solen! i've been really lucky with my V1, and the area i live in is also pretty safe, but i'm gonna consider hiding the V1 elsewhere in the future. thanks for the tips!
