Well you have projectors, seems like your getting them off e-bay since you said seller, well first off I havn't heard of any sort of adapter for a projector, when you get the projector you will see what I am talking about, Projectors take H1 low beams, unless there BMW or some fancy car, H3 for High beams, mtech are yellow right, I would say keep the the ones they come with, they are clear thought nothing blue purple or yellow. How much are you buying these things for?

Also, if the projectors are legal they will have the DOT SAE stamp on the front headlight its clear how could you not notice it! Now there is a bulb that changes I guess the 9006 into and H1 bulb but you have to have and 9006 slot and the TYCs dont have 9006 slot, H1 standard! and if they say there xenon they are, but xenon is a little old now, its all xenon Krypton bulbs. But everybody says go HID, sure you give me the money, then I will do it!

so no one has any experiance with the mtec bulbs in general. Thats really all I'm asking. I know they are H1 for low and high. The seller 'saltpepper88' said he will give me two pairs of xenon mtec h1 bulbs. I just want to know if they are better than the stock osram H1s in the tyc projector.

By the way if u e-mail saltpepper88 I think he can hook u up with tyc's for $160 shipped. I found this out minuits after I bought them for 197shipped. He gave me the bulbs so I cheer up a bit.

That's funny that's actually the same seller I got mine from on eBay. Then I saw that someone could get them for $160 shipped. Oh well its only $37. As far as the MTEC's go, obviously halogens are completely different but I've heard there HID bulbs are very yellow compared to most others.

In my opinion you should just grab a set of silverstars if you can't afford HID's. Just get one set and when you save up for a HID kit throw your silverstars into the high beam spot that way they won't be wasted. Someone said that the Osram Silverstars are brighter, I'm not really sure about that, the only difference is there's a coating on the Sylvania's that make them a little more white. If you decide to go with the Osram's just go on eBay and do a search for Osram H1 and you'll find a seller that has them.

Hope this helps. :bandito:

I purchased my from him for $160 shipped also, but about the mtec bulbs I read somewhere that it was to much wattage for the harness. It will diffently be brighter I'd be worried about the len and the harness. 100-150 watt bulbs get hot.
