Default Replacing front left headlight bulb?

Hey guys,
I'm trying to replace the bulb in the left front headlight of my 1991 Accord LX Coupe. I had an easy time replacing the bulb for the side marker, but the front headlight bulb is giving me problems. The first problem is that it is quite cramp around the bulb area despite my small hands. The stupid washer reservoir and another part is making it difficult. The other problem is that i am having trouble turning the connector where the bulb is in place counterclockwise. I used DW-40 to try to loosen it, but the connector(holder) doesn't move. I used pliers and a wrench, but i almost broke it. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Mike

1. Warm your hands...this is going to be a *****.

2. Move the reservoir and anything else out of the way...battery, intake.

3. try and rock it back and forth over and over.

4. take a flat screwdriver and a tap a hammer to loosen it.

5. pray. swear like crazy!

Change the bulbs is a pain in the neck when they get gritty good luck..

what i do when they are stuck is take a flat head screw driver and stick it on the outer edge of the locking mechanism where there is a slot and hammer it lightly in the direction needed to unlock. you don't want to hammer it too hard though because the edge will break off.

oh yeah you should disconnect the bulb from the harness first if you can...if I remember correctly that makes is slightly easier...

That's exactly what I did. It was an especially tight sqeeze for me because even though I took out the coolant reservoir, I left the battery in. After struggling with my bare hands forever, I took a screwdriver and rubber mallet and it gently unstuck. Good luck!
