Default Antenna problems

Hi,

I have a question about my 92 Honda Accord EX. About four months ago a fuse blew which caused the following to stop working:

overhead interior light
warning bell when lights are left on
glove compartment light
intermittent wipers
power antenna stopped going down
and it caused my alarm to trip.

I took it to CarToys and they replaced a fuse and it worked for about 2 1/2 months and then the fuse blew again. They replaced the fuse again and this time it only lasted a day. (I took it back to them because I was hoping to defray the cost and I was hoping they could solve my problem.)

They say that they think my antenna motor is running down and that it needs to be replaced. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Do you think it is the antenna motor? How much does a motor cost? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I never experienced anything like that before, but I did replace my power antenna with a universal one for about 55 bucks, and they are extremely easy to install yourself.

I took off the antenna because aftwer car wash the antenna was broke. Since I heard the noise that doesn't go down. So, my cd player/radio work fine w/o the antenna it called antennaless.

$20 bucks at your local autoparts store, get the amplified ones that hide away and just hook to your radio no other wires run to your batter just the back of the radio, unhook the old antana after its down in its slot, no worries from there, no one can break the antana and nothing ugly since the amplified antana sticks to the inside window and if you have a sun tint on the top of your front window then your set! Oh, and I think that guy craping a load on ya, antana yeahright, its probably your alarm, sometimes if something was not hooked up right it can ground out somewhere and cause a fuse to blow, figured that out with my headlights, fixed that problem fast though, fuses get expensive, and I just hate to waste a perfectly good fuse, lol!
