ok i just came up on a set of bmw 3 series ballasts and bulbs...any1 know the bulb size of these? would they be easy to modify to fit into my 9006 housings?

 

Do you have the projectors with the bulbs, you will probably want to use them to do it right. I am currently in process of a retro fit on my 6th gen. I have the housings apart and am looking for a nice set of projectors, bulbs and ballasts still.

 

They will not directly fit, they are d2s bulbs that are unniversal to fit in projectors. They will not fit stock housings.

If you just came accross them as a really good deal, put em up on ebay. SHould be able to get 80 for the bulbs, 125 for the ballasts. Otherwise, i wouldn't bother unless you are going to to a projector retrofit

 

3 series, stay clear, those lights dont look good! you want the 6 or 7 series type! I think, because I have never seen a 3 series with the nice looking light like the 6 and 7 series lights have, also the BMW SUV has some nice lights!

 

This is a custom job which requires some work. I say sell em, and get a plug and play kit instead.

 

oh i see...i have a hid kit already...maybe i can go about finding some projectors and work on a retrofit...5th gen beam pattern sucks
