If you live in Texas...

"HB 1326 automatically suspends for one year the driver license of anyone convicted of illegally racing on a public roadway. Before the license can be reinstated, the driver would have to complete 10 hours of community service. The punishment for illegal racing increases to a Class B misdemeanor. The law also increases the punishment for drivers who are racing drunk, who have open containers of alcohol in the vehicle when racing, who seriously injure or kill someone during the race or who have been convicted multiple times of illegal racing. Those offenses range from a Class A misdemeanor to a second-degree felony."

That's all I have to remember, and it makes the decision easy for me.

I was in an accident a few years ago but we werent racing or drinking and driving or even speeding. My friend Sabrina worked at a saturn dealership and had a 98 Trans Am that she was planning on trading in for 2000 Firehawk that was at her work. It was kinda crappy weather, it was really slick and snowy but she decided to go for a test drive anyway. It was Sabrina driving, salesman in the front passenger, i was in the rear behing the driver seat and my friend Dan was behind the salesman. We were getting on highway 94 and we slid out sideways and got T-boned on the driver side by a Dodge Ram i dont remember anything after leaving the dealership but that is what i was told. I woke up in the hospital and my friend Dan was dead. I was the only one wearing my seatbelt and everyone else was thrown from the vehicle, both people in the front went thru the windshield and Dan went thru the t-tops. I had to be removed with the jaws of life because the car was so smashed up. The only injuries i had was a cut in my head and some shoulder damage. After that i try to wear my seatbelt everytime i get in a vehicle even if it is uncomfortable. So even if you arent driving bad accidents can happen so it always pays to wear you seatbelt.

All sad stories. RIP 2 all.

Ain't nobody heard of drag strips or autocross courses I imagine.

I'm a pizza driver around my town so I drive 8+ hours a day. I see things like this at least a few times a week. Just a few weeks ago, An SUV blew a red light at like 70-80mph, hit nearly head on wit a Lumina minivan making a left turn, completley ramping the Lumina. The SUV flew 15ft in the air and a distance of at least 50ft, corkscrewing 3 times before landing upside down and likely crushing everyone in it. Things like that keep me grounded in my job, even when we're busy as hell and I need to deliver pizzas quickly. It isn't worth it to go THAT fast.

Hi Everyone. I'm sorry to hear all these sad stories. They are horrible. I used to drive all fast everywhere because I liked the rush, and the most stupid thing I did all the time was ride around and drink if I was bored. I know I know ya'll can all call me a dumbass or bitch me out. I completely deserve it , I can admit.
I wouldn't get trashed or anything, so I thought. I just love driving around especially to blow steam off or something and blare music. It's the only way to get away from everything, ya know. Well like I said I would drive and drink or leave places like bars and drive after I've been drinking. I can drink alot for a girl and hold my liquor, so in my head I thought I was okay and driving perfectly fine. But a few times I would wake up the next day and wouldn't remember parking my car a certain place in my driveway, or one time I remembered when I woke up hitting a trash can the night before, and I went outside and my bumper was all jacked up! h: My two friends Tony and Chris started jumping on my ass everytime I go out and drink and drive. They started going in my purse and getting my keys out when I wasn't looking when we were out. ONe night while at a bar we always used to hang out at, Chris tried to find my keys and they were in my pocket. I left before they even knew or could stop me. Chris jumped in his civic and TRIED to follow me home. He said I got on the highway, and he couldn't even keep up with me. Then he lost me because I flew off the exit ramp to this gas station to get cigarettes. Well when I got home he was waiting there. Needless to say, We got in a fight. My friend Tony wouldn't even speak to me the next day. Serves me right though. That was the night before Valentine's day this year. I am alot better now. I realized how stupid I was acting and immature. I Thank God now that I have friends like that and nothing has happened to me so far and of course to someone else. Also I've put way too much money in my car to mess it all up. Another thing I hate is when stupid guys try to race me . I mean my car looks good, (or I'm trying to make it look good ) I'm not gonna risk wrecking it or getting a big ass ticket anymore. I have enough of those.

I've got stories I could tell like that too, fortunately my friends and I all survived the stupid driving stunts we did, and there were many. Of course, there's no guarantee that anyone will be safe until they figure out how dangerous it is; I remember hearing about some guys getting killed behind the wheel when I was in high school. I know exactly where you are coming from.

Drinking anything then driving is not a smart idea. Don't rely on your judgement once you start drinking, because you know how that goes. IMHO it's better to not drink at all, then you never have to worry about how much you've had, or if you're sober enough to drive.

If people actually slowed the hell down and stopped driving like shit, there'd be a lot less deaths stemming from cars.

Not to be an asshole- no wait- to be an asshole: If you are doing 110 and screwing around while driving and plant your car squarely into a bridge support, THEN YOU DESERVE IT, STUPID. I feel no pity who do stupid shit due to showing off, racing, way excessive speeds, playing tag in traffic, drinking and driving or whatever- they acted the fool and they paid the consequences.

Now, don't pull the 'hey hondapower10a, F you, you don't know what its like to lose somebody due to traffic accidents and speeding and blah blah blah'. Yes I do. I lost 3 relatives in the same accident in 2001 from some tard highschool kid racing in an Integra that crossed into oncoming traffic- right into the path of the C280 with my relatives. The F-head kid died, and took 3 people he didn't know with him. The kid F'd up and he paid for it.

I have no pity for those who die doing something stupid, regardless of how cool they think they are.

A high school kid died a few weeks ago in the town of 55K I live because he was speeding and put his car into a tree. I don't feel pity for him- I feel pity for his family, as they're the ones that know that they didn't raise their kid right, teaching him responsibility, and teaching him that a car isnt some sort of goddamn toy.

Driving inexperience + speed = deaths. End of story.

If you don't like it at face value then go screw yourself.
