i replaced master cylinder because i lost all pressure in the clutch pedal... so today i was in 5th gear, and it popped out, so i shifted back and it popped out again... :wtf: it won't go into 5ht now, and reverse gives me trouble


any ideas

 

Synchros are gone. replace the tranny :happysad:

thats not cool... new tranny means what exactly do i have to replace. clutch?

 

New tranny means the whole unit. ($1200 remfg.) I'd take it somewhere for a true estimate first. It's likely the syncros but it could be something else too.

 

3rd and 5th are usually the first to go. Mines been good so far :knock on wood:

 

if i can get an stock engine with 30,xxx miles on it and a new tranny swaped over night for $450 is that a good deal?

 

That's sounds shaddy cheap, how did you pull that off?
I'd go have Honda look at the car before swapping out major components. Buying a new tranny based on us arm chair mechanics is foolish.

 

i need to find a reliable shop that knows what they are doing... i wont use a certified honda dealer, they are asses. I took my car in one time because the A/C needed recharged when i bought it, so they said bring it in we will do it for free. i come back my car is on a lift and front bumper is off and they tell me i owe money cause they replaced compressor, replaced my hood latch, and replaced my seat bealts. i was like :wtf: had my dad call his lawer, go it all for free and claimed i would never go back again.
