wow deep stuff, kind of a eye opener. I don't really drive wrecklessly but once in a while I do things that make me say to myself... why'd I do that?
Definately a good post.

Yet another story.

http://www.dallasnews.com/s/dws/news...1451c0db2.html

Update: the other driver that got away has likely been located, and police say that he faces 2nd degree felony charges. Not a place I'd want to be...

Be safe not only for yourself, but also for others.

this thread makes me sad.. my brother was killed by an idiot drunk driver before I was born.. hence.. why I am here today..

It just sucks to see stuff like this happen to good people. I drive a pretty hooked up car. I always get people trying to race me wherever I go.. but I dont respond because its stupid. Its so easy to get hurt or die behind the wheel of a car. Its bad enough with all the stupid people on there on the road. Let alone increasing your chances by racing someone. I do drive a little over the speed limit sometimes. I never push my car to the limit. Its hard to live w/o the adrenaline rush once in a while. Its just so much more important to be safe on the road ways, I could never live with myself if I hurt someone or took a life..

about cops.. I know you guys need to do your job.. go ahead and catch all the people speeding you want. But if you guys waste your time giving me a ticket for having no front plates.. you seriously need to spend more time catching people do stupider stuff you guys conveniently miss!! LOL.. I hate front tags!! -Jai

..this is why i joined auto-x and track events.. gets all the adrenaline pressure built up so that i drive easy on the streets.. it also improves your driving skills to be a better defensive driver..

as for police.. i used to work for the police department as a civilian employee before i moved to cali.. i had a lot of respect for cops until i started getting pulled over by extremely rude cops.. i was always respectful, but they treated me as if i were scum.. so now i view cali cops as pricks.. and you wonder why people hate the police.. maybe they should show some respect to receive it..

i still have a lot of respect for police back home, so don't think i lack respect for all cops..

Doesn't matter who you are or what you drive, when you are behind the wheel you take evryone's life in your own ahnds. There is no excuse for not driving safely.
