so is it A, B, or C for you?

and holy shit 50 bucks! You can get decent sounding performance mufflers on ebay for less that that that flow a hell of a lot better than any stock muffler ... then just cut off the stock muffler and weld the good one on.

Jon
Just cut off the hangers and weld on new ones to adapt to your cars configuration. The inlet pipe is a bit high on the muffler so you might need to weld in some piping from the muffler to the axle section.

Well the RSX-S is putting down 160-170 hp to the wheels on the dyno stock. The muffler is more free flowing than the accord ones and as quiet too. Its still technically a stock part so the police shouldnt be on your ass about it.

Not sure what the problem with aftermarket exhaust sounds....I have a Greddy Evo catback on my 97 accord. I live in downtown Chicago and make as much noise as I possibly can. I drive w/o my front license plate on (illegal) too. Never had a problem. In fact, my car got towed yesterday (big F'n hassle!!) and they didn't even ticket me for no license plate!

In my situation, its not really a problem with aftermarket exhausts - its more about the money and experiences. The RSX-S muffler + piping was a cheap alternative to stock. There were no risks involved so why not?

"True tuners" experiment with their cars to see what works best. I'm still experimenting.

Its the exact same shit ... you either get a free flowing performance muffler on your stock piping, or you get a still restrictive rsx muffler on larger piping so you can say it helped, but really youre just compensating for your STILL restrictive muffler.

yeah and the rsx also has two cams and a way better engine than our accords do, so dont use what it "puts down" to justify putting the muffler off it on your car ... I guess my friends 91 accord is quick now too cause he put an intake made for an integra gsr on it.

You guys can all learn a thing or two from this guy. He is proud to be an import enthuasiast, and on top of that he likes his car to look good (and avoid red light tickets) so he drives around without the front plate ... hats off.

You got me wrong. Im not saying by slapping on a RSX-S muffler on the car will give you 170hp. Im saying it can support 170hp with no problems. Its more free flowing than the accord muffler and as quiet as one. You dont see accord laying down 170hp to the ground often anyway so having the muffler isnt hurting anyone.

When youre making 170hp with your F/H/turbo/etc setup and you feel your muffler/exhuast set up is holding back your power then that would be the time to switch up the exhuast. But since most accords arent laying down that much... whats a more free flowing, quiet, cheap, quality built RSX-S exhaust gonna hurt?
