timing belt
Just got back from the dealer...
Now I'm screwed, I took a look at the engine there with the valve cover off.
Guess what the timing belt is not broke, the fricken cam is busted.
Now they gota pull that off and see if the head is damaged, Great!! Seems the journals where the cam rides do not have replaceable bearings so if they are damaged then the head is toast, and so is my pocket book!
It appears that not enough oil was getting up there. Possibly the pump is busted or the screen is clogged.
How is the oil pump driven anyway?
Anyone know where I can get a head cheap?

Personally, as good of a mechanic as I am, I in fact paid the dealership to change my timing belts. Kissing off valves because of a misaligned belt or broken belt is not a good thing, well it might be if you're in the market for a new head.
My mom though unfortunately has a leaking water pump in her Camry so I may have to do that myself soon, and in the process, I'll put in a new timing belt (since you gotta remove it to get to it anyway).
