Strut bar question (newbie)
On a 5th gen, do strut bars really work? ...can you notice the difference in daily driving or just on a skid pad or racing?....one bar (front/rear/lower) more effective than the others?....should I go Ebay cheap or big brand name?... some front-uppers look like they would be in the way under the hood.
thanx much,
thanx much,
Strut bars work, but the difference isn't noticed nearly as much when you are doing regular everyday driving as opposed to motocross type of driving. In terms of what you want that is definitely only your choice because it all depends on how much you want to push your car to the extreme, and so you just have to do the research to figure out what you want. Typically top notch strut bars and sway bars will be around 200+.
With my car, after adding 17" rims with high performance tires I was satisfied then with how my car handled and then choosed to go the more performance route with my engine and audio instead.

I noticed a difference after adding generic front and rear upper strut bars also.
I suggest matching them with lower front and rear tie bars, and also sway bars to get the most out of handling (aside from lowering the car) though. That's what I'm saving for next.

^ i don't believe lower f/r tie bars are necessary on an accord. the accords in the rear already are pretty solid in back there unlike a civic or teg. also they are hard to see on accords due to the spare tire well and 1/2 the reason for the rear lower is looks. the front lower may be useful if you are a road racer, but i don't think it's necessary.
your best bet is f/r stbs and a rear sway bar (EX) or both f/r sways for (lx/dx)models.

I installed my front strut bar the other day and i could tell a difference in motion but the rear still moved, so i opted to order a rear strut and tie end bar got them install and man is it stout no body roll if any. also have coil overs slammed. <<lower center or gravity = less roll>>

As for your lower is better comment...that is only true to a point. If you go too far with anything you can be counterproductive in your efforts
