Default strut bar question

Ok heres the deal i did a search and not too much relevant material. Im looking to buy a strut bar for my teg. I wanted the trick jic carbon fiber one but 240 is a little much. I want the most ridged i can get. The other ones i was looking at were the comptech one 220 and the stillen one 66.25. These look to be the strongest. Which one should i choose? Or do you have any other suggestions for around 200?And please don't say put it towards something else. Would this improve much with stock suspension?

I like the JIC one too, but I'm not sure if it's that ridged cause of the carbon fiber. I may be wrong tho. Comptech is good, but for a strut bar I think it's overated. I personally like the skunk2 and mugen bars.

It will improve, but not to the point of where you can really feel it. If you lowered it, it would help a bit more. Most people can't feel the difference in just a strut bar unless you're road racing. If you get the front you you should also get the rear. Good luck

I think the stock type R strut bar is good for the money, unless you want to go crazy and get spoon or mugen or some of that craziness. Also, don't get a carbon-fiber one. Carbon fiber is very rigid and strong when you pull it, but when you push it (which is what happens with strut bars, they push in), the carbon fiber can bend relatively easily. Go for a steel or aluminum one if you really want the best product. Carbon Fiber is just really a gimmick because everyone drools over it since it's used all over Le Mans and F1 and all that craziness. Well, good luck.

The OEM ITR bar is nice and pretty affordable, as well as the Neuspeed bar, which is an excellent design.

If you want to spend the big bucks, Spoon bars are also where its at.

I would say Neuspeed is probably the way to go in terms of front tower bars.

I'd agree with Newgsrdriver, the neuspeed is very strong tower bar that connects to the camber mounts I think *not sure what they are called* but its the Ingalls camber kit on my car , they will actually support your suspension better. I had gotten the ITR and it felt a bit flimsy compared to the neuspeed

For budget, I'd go stock GSR bars, front and back, for upgrade I am not so sure, the Comptech stuff is nice, but I suspect the $400 bomb diggidy one would be a bit much. I helped a buddy install a Neuspeed bar on his Prelude. Very nice piece, pretty welds, lighter than you expect with its thickness. If you upgrade beyond a GSR bar in the rear, and you don't spend the $400, reinforce the rear subframe with one of the kits. You want to balance the front to rear, so consider going for front and rear bars at one time.

thanks for all the advice. Ive talked myself out of the jic one. The spoon one isn't actually that expenive imo. Ive seen them for like 170 or so. The mugen is also really nice but wayyy to expensive. IVe herd a lot about the problems with the rear subframe with aftermarket sway bars. If i do that ill be sure to get one that reinforces too. I want to do things right the first time and not have to upgrade again. The stillen seems to be a solid piece to make it more ridged. Is the neuspeed hollow on the inside?

hmmm....the Neuspeed is hollowed inside....its surprisingly light but strong.... on canyon runs the chasis felt stiffer than the ITR bar *shrug*
