Default new wheels, coilovers and problems

i finally got my wheels (racing hart z5000s 215 40 17's) and coilovers (tein basics) put on last friday. i'm in the dc metro area and went to vertex motorsports to have the work done. these guys are great, real friendly and quick. i'd recommend them to anybody around here looking to have work done. my car came out great (no pics unfortunately) and the difference in handling has been like night and day. i went for a 1.5 drop in front and 1.2 in the back. the car definitely has a more agressive stance and sits down nicely under hard cornering. body roll has been reduced significantly and while the ride is stiffer, it still feels pretty close to stock (which is due in large part to the quality of tein's coilovers). anyway as luck would have it i was going out sat night and hit a pothole on the highway at about 70 mph-i was praying that i didn't dent my rim. it looked like the rim survived but i have a nice bubble in my left front wheel. since the wheels are used i'm just going to replace the two fronts asap. looks like those comptech sways are going to have to wait .

If the tire is brand new (like you've only had the tires on for a couple of days) you can probably take it back to where you bought it because it might be a defective tire. When I got my new tires a couple months ago, I had a bubble form about 2 days after they were put on, so I took them back the shop where I got them, and viola...new tire for me. Hope that helped ya some.

nope, i got the tires used with the wheels. they have about 70% tread on them. i definitely need to replace the two fronts, it just sucks that it has to be so soon after the initial install. i literally had everything on for less than 24 hrs. could be worse i guess.
