CLuNkinG! noise!
1998 accord v6 coupe
just great, after a year of this car, i get this clunking noise that comes from the front passenger side wheel area everytime i stop/go and turn left and right. i'm guessing it might be the control arm. and if so, can i tighten it or something or do i need to replace it? someone help? i dont want my whole axel to collaspe while im on the freeway going 70 mph.
thanks ;] :exnbp:

the same thing happened to my friend and he was told by everyone that it was the CV joint but when he replaced it the sound did not stop, so he went and got a simple stabalizer link bushing kit for $30 at the local honda shop and it killed the sound, and a CV joint is not cheap if you have the asses at the local dealer do it, and they are a pain in the rear if you do it so i suggest you try that first.
Check under your car for cracked rubber/loose fasteners (don't just look, grap & shake/twist). You'll probably find the problem. As a remider, your CV's can still be bad even if the boot looks good.
