I said the JDM H22 is a better option if you plan to build it up or turbo it. If you dont want to touch the internals and want to stay N/A go with the Type-S.

ok sorry for being stupid here... so if i go H22 and build it up i gotta do pistons/rods/blah blah blah all the internals but if i go with type-s i wouldn't have to touch all that stuff and just do I/E/H and i could NOS on top of that if i choose to?

Kinda true. I was just saying that Building the motor would have a greater reaction to power then just buying the type-s. THe type-s does have a pretty nice set-up but is still not as powerful as a built H22 and if you bought the Type-S motor and just re-built it, you just wasted a extra 2 grand because the parts in the Type-S are just being taking out. Get it?

Im just saying if you plan to build up the motor, get the H22.
If you plan to just have some bolt ons. Get ahold of the TYpe-S

well i'd like to build one but i don't have a ton of hook ups around here... like the really techincal stuff i would have to pay out the ass for it... as for the bolt on those i could do myself.

ok with a Type-s if i do the bolt ons could i use a decent size shot of nos 50-100 without having to worry about toasting the inners? assuming i put all the bolt ons first

the type-s is what you want if youre adding just i/h/e. get the base H22 if youre going to build it because you can build it to better specs than the type-s. i think if you wanna run nitrous then i would go with the 10.6:1 CR H22. 11:1 is getting pretty high to use nitrous. 10.6:1 is also pretty high and will take good engine management to run it properly. its all about how much you wanna spend and how fast you wanna be
