What speakers to replace first?
I'm tired of listening to my crappy OEM speakers in my 94 accord lx. I have about $200 to spend and i want some good quality speakers. Im guessing that much will only get either the front 2 or back 2 replaced. Which are worth replacing first? What are some good speakers i could get for $200?
PS- I was lookin at some infinitys for the front and noticed they have standard speakers, and componant speaker systems. What are componant speaker systems?

component systems are usually like a 5 1/4 speaker for mid and lows and a seperate tweeter all connected to a crossover. the mid/low speaker should fit ok, but you're gonna have to mount the tweeter yourself somewhere...its really not a bad route because i cant hear my front speakers w/ out my tweeters for crap.

for $200, i say just buy a pair of pioneer 6x9s ($75 shipped) and a bobo amp to power them. I had a $135 Legacy amp (4x55w rms) and it sounded great because you get a lot of midbass. Some people thought I had subs. For your budget, I think that would be the best option. Then you can save up and upgrade, because if you get into car audio seriously, you'll eventually end up spending a lot of money on it.

sounds like you need some more power up front.

Your rears are gonna sound great, but you will have a crappy front stage if you go this route. Its up to you, do you want great rear stage, crappy front stage or the other way around? I always do the fronts first, get that front stage sounding good then the rear stage, then subs.
