Thanks guys but it doesnt matter what kind of alarm you got once they pop open your hood and disconnect your battery ur alarm is useless unless you have an AUX battery. The only "alarm" i would spend on is low jack i dont even think its a alarm its tracking any whoo. All i want is a sensor mainly to detour stupid @ss Kids who play close to my car and bump into it with their bikes or run in to the car. I just think having a shock sensor would be better then the gay stock alarm where you have ot open the door or hood of the car and it goes off which is kind of to late of a warning.

SOME ONE CONFIRM the wiring for me PoooooLeaseeeee

94uhkord, what car did they take, what features you had, and how did they get in?
This is the car I had, my "SaucyCivic"

I had a Viper 300ESP, don't remember it's features. Whatever it comes with out of the box is what I had. I know now that getting this alarm was mistake #1, mistake #2 was me thinking this alarm would deter any would be thief, and if not, at least give me time to get out there to see what's going on. Now that I think about it, I know one of the features this alarm has is starter disable, of course only when the alarm is armed. Once the alarm is disarmed(brain ripped out) this feature is about as worthless as a shock sensor on a factory alarm(sorry b12uceHuy ). From the time I head my alarm chirp twice, to the time I got out back to see what was up, which was about 30 seconds, my car was gone. The only alarm that I know of that will still render your car disabled even with the brain ripped out, battery disconnected, and all wires cut is a Clifford. Since their sirens are self powered, you can disconnect the battery if you want, isn't gonna matter. OK, im rambling now, I'll stoph:

worried about someone poping up ur hood? that is what hood pin is used for. shock sensor won't detect any moving subjects around ur car and set off the alarm, however the proxy sensor will. it will chirp so to warn away kids, if this is what u are looking for. serious dude, if you think urself have too much money to spend, i don't mind borrowing some from you. :naughty:

It does matter what alarm you have, that's what im trying to tell you. Disconnect the battery on a Clifford armed car, alarm will still sound thanks to the hidden self powered siren. They can even cut the wires on the brain and the alarm will still go off, thanks to the "ALWAYS ON" circuitry perfected by CLIFFORD. But if all you want the sensor for is to alert you when "stupid @ss kids" are abusing your car, I'll stop harrassing you about it

hey dude, you just made me wonder how alpine works. i have a chip in the key that comes with the car. so i will just add the fuel kill to complete the 3 point kills. my question is, if the battery is disconnected or the brain is ripped out, will the fuel kill still be able to function? how about all the sensors that connected to the brain?

hey not only clifford has this feature. all alarms with aux siren can do the same thing. don't make me feel sorry for my alpine:fawk:

but if you have multi point immobilizers, one of which is wired to your fuel pump, rip the brain out on a clifford and it will still be immobilized. Let's put it like this, if you encountered a Clifford AG4 armed vehicle w/a wireless immobilizer installed, even if the brain of the alarm was on the passenger seat and the key in the ignition, you will not drive that car away on its own power, you will have to get a tow truck. I don't think Alpine is at that level yet

another thing, if your alarm is "always off", you could have 10 sirens if you want, isn't gonna do a damn thing. Clifford is "always on" so even with all the wires cut on the brain, the car will still be protected. This is why I won't buy any alarm other than Clifford from now on.
