Make accord faster
True J I was just being an ass is all
I totally skipped over the Civic part of that comment:doh:
but if the kid already owns an Accord then the last thing he may want to do is sell it. Why buy something when you have a perfectly good base to start with and also some people like to have a little bit of a challenge to work with.
I dunno I like a challenge...not knocking V8s or a preference for them at all just saying its kinda pointless to come into a thread with someone who wants to improve the performance of their I4 Accord by telling them to ditch it and buy a V8.

Anyways a nice improvement would be clutch and pressure plate as it will allow it to grab faster....even brand new stock replacement clutches allow some slip when they engage because of the way they are built and meant to be used....get a good 6 puck clutch and a Heavy Duty pressure plate.
Very streetable setup and grabs like a champ.

And fyi I wasn't telling him to ditch it
I replied to the guy who said "H22 is the only way to go" not even to the original poster. Someone needs to work on their reading comprehension.
I used mine on a stock flyheel for about a year and had no problems.
They are very streetable clutches although it takes a minute to get used to the engagement...but it isn't as severe as people think it is. If you let off wrong you will feel a bit of a stutter but you learn to manage it so that it doesn't happen at all in a rather short period of time.
I daily drive mine and have been using the 6 puck clutch for nearly 2 years now both on the strip and the street and have felt no fade as of yet.
My personal opinion is that it is a good and rather inexpensive investment.

Cool, i have been looking to prelace my clutch, soon as i get the money, i almost had it then my stupid ABS had some issues that set me back 500 bucks...
I do have a question though that pertains to the stock, street and racing clutches...lets way when your launching (or just going whatever) and you have an acedent, and you lets say didnt give it enough gas, and you feel that shutter, OR you do have the rpm's up and you 'pop' the clutch is there anyrisk of damage to engine internals from these actions? It seems like there would be a lot of stress on things in there for them to have a huge load THROWN on them all of a sudden, or have a load the engine is not being given the chance to build up enough power to deal with...sorry to whore this thread, but i have been wondering this for a while...

Stop your crying, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it just as you are to yours. The accord was put out as a luxury sedan and that's what the majority of accord owners use it for. If you want something fast then you bought the wrong car unless you want to invest thousands and after you've done that you might as well have bought a fast car to begin with for that price :slap:

Your asking about an accident and then your asking about normal useage situation in the same question....try it again a little smaller sections so your point comes across clearer.
