It seems like there would be a lot of stress on things in there for them to have a huge load THROWN on them all of a sudden, or have a load the engine is not being given the chance to build up enough power to deal with...sorry to whore this thread, but i have been wondering this for a while...
I'm not sure I am understanding your question at all....

Your asking about an accident and then your asking about normal useage situation in the same question....try it again a little smaller sections so your point comes across clearer.
