very well explained. the anti jack system sounds really cool and i don't know if my alpine has something similar. but i still see no point to get this anti jack thing, cuz if i have had shock sensor, proximity sensor, 3 point kill and a backup siren, so there's no way a thief can break into my car without triggering the alarm.
i don't have a million dollar car, so there's no point a super professional thieft would want my car that bad. this is not the movie, GONE IN 60 Seconds. also i've talked to a clifford authorized dealer about their warranty thing, they said that warranty is the ****. Clifford is not likely gonna pay me a penny if my car got stolen. so i don't really care about the warranty as long as the installation is perfect. btw, what do you mean alpine is "always off"

Well, the key to protecting our cars is layering security. Having the blackjax option is just another layer they'd have to get past if they want the car. Some thiefs really don't car if the alarm is going off so if you have the blackjax, they can still get the car, but it will stop shortly after they get it and they'll be dead in the water. In any case, I explained the "always off" and "always on" stuff earlier in this post, check it out. This is one of the best features in the Clifford line of products in my opinion.

I'd hate to be redundant, but everyone else pretty much said what I know and would have said. I work at a best buy, so I know a little about the alarms. We sell clifford but we are not fortunate enough to carry the avantguard 4. From searching around other stores and reading up on information I personally think the avantguard 4 is the best alarm on the market. The viper 800 is pretty close but clifford owns it. Yeah DEI owns both but clifford makes the best alarms out, they are always coming up with diff. security devices. In my opinion do not get a black widow. At least any black widow alarm that best buy carries. Best Buy in general has low to mid end stuff at the most. If you want a good alarm I wouldn't shop there unless you are buying the higher end clifford ones there. Usually the prices of alarms include installation so you might want to keep that in mind(at least at best buy it does). But honestly just because you have an alarm doesn't mean your car is unstealable, so only you can decide how much security you need. Personally I have an avantguard 4 on order and an autolock, just in case you were wondering. Good luck with whatever you do though!!!!!

the best alarm in my opinion is the Aladdin. Its got a lcd pager control and can lock and unlock the car from far away. It has almost every option you can think of but its a bit pricy. Its like anywhere from 250-375. Your best bet it groupbuycenter.com or ebay.com.

Thanks,
Tom

so its the best alarm because of its "cool" features or because it's ability to prevent theft?

what a joke by saying aladdin is a good alarm cuz you can unlock/lock ur car from for away aladdin is the best selling $hit in Japan but that doesn't mean it is a secured alarm. from what i know, basic aladdin doesn't come with any useful features, except a lcd remote. if you are interested in lcd alarm, Computech will be the best pick.
