Default Help me pick a good alarm

Hello all, I'm taking my 94 Accord LX with my nice new wheels, intake, and stereo components to school in a few weeks and I'm concerned about it, or parts of it, getting stolen. While I could rely on any potential thieves to go to work on my housemates RSX instead, I'd prefer alittle more security. I need someone to recommend a good alarm for about 100-170 dollars, preferably installed. I know thats not a lot, but im a student =), im broke, and theres gotta be a good mix between price and quality out there.

I've heard of em, but don't know enough about them to pass judgement. All I know is that Clifford owns.

Well, for the price you are looking for, I don't know of any good alarms. I'd get a Clifford, although they're pricey. I'm going to get a Clifford myself. Here, take a look at this old thread from HondaPrelude.com: http://www.preludeonline.com/showthr...threadid=56123

now clifford and Viper are both manufactured by the same company called PEI. so there's no difference between viper and clifford. you want an alarm, but you don't need an expensive one like Clifford Avant something. any alarm will work well as long as it's installed professionally. im getting Alpine SEC-150 with all the add-on features you can think of, i guess that's enough.

Clifford and Viper are the same because it's made by the same company? Is that what you're saying? Who told you this? FYI: it's DEI. Read the link I posted, you'll be suprised. A lot of arguments, counter-arguments, and questions about alarms. VERY informative.
