...... funny one niko. :slap:
Unless you want to smoke your tires I'd say you've got it about right. (1200 to 2000) Just practice releasing the clutch as smooth as you can. With a little bit of practice you'll get smoother and smoother.
When you start wanting to take off faster (e.g. drag racing) you can raise the rpm's a little higher but don't dump the clutch. Try to ease off of the clutch to control tire spin. It takes practice but it's worth it.
Good luck

Indeed, 1200-2000 is just about right. If you're car is all jerky like you say it is, you're not releasing the clutch smoothly. It's ok, everyone goes through this process when they start driving manual, don't feel bad. See it as finesse. Press the accelerator pedal slowly WHILE release the clutch slowly aswell. Hondas clutches grab pretty high so you can start to release the clutch like a second before you start to press the accelerator pedal. It's like one movement. At the same times you press the accelerator pedal you're also releasing the clutch. You can feel when it grabs enough to let go of the clutch completely. Usually, under normal driving conditions (not 7700rpm drops, heh), you're going to hold the clutch like 2 inches from it being completely released for a sec. or 2 to completely engage the power stransfer without getting that jerky feeling. You'll get used it, trust me. Becomes 2nd nature. Just practice practice practice. Remember, one solid motion from both feet at the same time. It's going to come o the point where you can shift all 5 gears without the vehicle even having a jerky feeling, as smooth as driving an automatic. Have fun!

<1000 RPMS if you're really good...

serioiusly, though, around 1200-1500 works well for smooth starts. Also find the "grab point" or "stall point" on your clutch so you can let off to that point before you even touch the gas, and just gently apply gas & release clutch, and voila! The car will go smooth and gentle...

Making the car move up to speed, WITHOUT pressing the accelerator pedal, only clutch...like I do. :fawk:

or taking off in 2nd, which is kinda bad for you clutch.

Take it to about 1200-1500rpm and let the clutch out slowly so that you know when it engauges. When the rpms slowly fall (should be slowly or your not doing it right) keep the clutch pedal there and give it slightly more gas and fully let the clutch out (match the gas and the clutch pedals). My cousins learning also, she just got a 94 Interga LS
