I am more than willing to help anyone who wants to make their car a speed machine but I have never and will never understand modifying a car with "peformance mods" that are not even performance mods. It's just a pet peeve(sic?). And this board is as real world as it gets. Some people get along (as my fellow San Antonian and I do) and some don't. I don't rag on anyone here anymore than I rag on my friends in real life. Hell, my best friend bought a new Prelude over the weekend and ordered alteeza's last night. I gave him a good thrashing but if he wants Alteeza's then, hey, it's his money. And expect assholes like me to take pot shots at your girl just get a rise out of you. Because she could definately get a rise out of me:fawk:

As for the busted chops... DISH IT OUT AND TAKE IT. It's a fact of life. You should expect this in a competitive forum. I'll also try to help you as I pick on you, and if you can't take it, put your tools back in your purse, and call your boyfriend to pick you up. If you can weed out the fact from opinion and take make the best of what's presented to you no matter how rudely it's presented, then you'll get everything out of these replies that you need. Geez, some people get so sensitive. Have a sense of humor.

If you aren't getting the answer you want, it doesn't mean the answers you get are wrong.

I say: Don't cut your car up if you don't have to. It's less than 1 hp. It's your car's re-sale value at stake. Sounds like damn good advice to me, and almost everyone here has reinforced it already. EOT!

Moderators: Please lock this thread if the bitching continues.

I don't see the point in pouring thousands and thousands of dollars into a cheap car like a civic to make it run quick 1/4 mile times. I don't get it. I want my car to look nice, but if it's not quick, that's fine.
then do what I do when dealing with a slow car.

don't waste money on "performance" mods. Thats why I invested $2000 in a system.

I am mostly looking at the looks and sound of my car, I don't really care about performance. Since this is my daily driver and only car, I don't want to be doing engine swaps and turbo and all that stuff. Would involve too much down time. I hate the look of the stock intake and I want either short ram or cold air so it looks a little nicer. Since there is no hole for cold air, short ram sounds fine to me. Since I could get one off ebay for like 20 bucks. Hmmm.... When ever I get 2000 dollars I guess I'll look at my stereo too. I don't have much right now. Just some infinity speakers up front, and an amp and sub. Nothing really great though. Okay...I'm going to try to be open minded here, why are my headlights ricey? And what should I replace them with if I'm going to? other than my stock ones that I still have.

HID is cool because.. its bright as ****.. yours are not cool (to me at least) hope that helps

The main reason I even replaced my headlights is because for one, they started leaking, and two, I just hate the look of the stock ones. I wanted to get rid of the yellow reflector and all that bullshit. So I got these, they were only like 50 bucks from a friend of mine. So I said sure why not. Anyway, what is CTR?
